ROMA

Ciao!
Safe Arrival!!!! We have checked into a hotel in Fiumicino which is about thirty clicks from Rome. We have travelled into Rome and back twice and it is very flat here!!! There are lots of cyclists, and the drivers are very aware. The people are very friendly and tolerant of non italian speakers.

Our bikes are not in tip top condition and we have spent the last two days attempting to find a bike shop. Yesterday we went into Rome on this mission and the best we could do was go to mass at the Vatican and pray that god would fix the bikes. So far no go.

Today we made the trek to a nearby village to find a negazio bicicletta on the advice of the very friendly woman who runs our b and b. However she neglected to mention that almost everything is closed on mondays. Ha ha.

We shall return with high hopes tommorow!
I can't upload any photo's yet because all the commputers are in Italian, hopfully tommorow we will find a wireless link!
